Board and Training

Ithilien is a full service board and training facility. We can cater to your horse's every need! We provide a range of services and options for different budgets, different goals, and different needs.

Full Training Board $1875/ month

This option includes all basic care of the horse, including: daily mucking, feeding, turn-out, blanketing, and daily grooming. Horses will be paste wormed every 8 weeks. Horses will be trimmed (ears, muzzles, legs) and manes pulled as needed. Horses will be groomed, tacked, un-tacked for owner. Additional services such as body clipping and horse shows will be billed separately.

This is a full service training option. Full training includes any and all training/ exercise as considered appropriate by trainer. Generally 4 or 5 schooling sessions weekly as well as any other exercise, ie: lunging. OR up to 4 lessons/ week for owner, or any combination of the above.

Horses on full training board will receive a reduction in their day rate at shows.

Half Training Board $1625/ month

This option includes all basic care of the horse, including: daily mucking, feeding, turn-out, blanketing, and daily grooming. Horses will be paste wormed every 8 weeks. Horses will be trimmed (ears, muzzles, legs) and manes pulled as needed. Horses will be groomed, tacked, un-tacked for owner. Additional services such as body clipping and horse shows will be billed separately.

Half training includes 2 training rides plus one exercise session weekly. OR up to 2 lessons/ week. Any riding, exercise or lessons beyond this will be billed additionally.

Basic Board $1225/ month

Basic board includes basic care of the horse, including: daily mucking, feeding, turn-out, and blanketing. Daily grooming and tacking are not included. Basic board also includes up to 2 lessons/week. If you are not available to take two lessons, your horse will be schooled/ excercised. All other services will be billed additionally ( see Additional Services below).

Other services

These services except body clipping are included in both Full Training, and Half Training board. Body clipping is always billed additionally. None of these services are included for Basic board.
